The non-practicing temple, inspired by the ancient Byodo-In Temple in Uji, Japan, was constructed in 1968 as a tribute to the arrival of the first Japanese immigrants in Hawaii a century ago. It features serene ponds, beautiful gardens, and soothing waterfalls, creating a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere.
Wat Huay Pla Kang, Thailand
This religious site is divided into three sections: a massive Buddha statue, a Wat (temple), and a nine-tier pagoda. It draws inspiration from Chinese architecture. The highlight is the impressive staircase adorned with dragon heads, leading up to the top where you’ll be greeted by the magnificent Buddha statue. However, be prepared for a long climb as it takes approximately an hour to reach the summit!
